If so and if you have Tweak UI installed, look at Logon. If no Tweak UI, go to run on the Start Menu and type: control userpasswords2 and click OK -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP Windows Desktop Experience "Mango" <Mango@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A525A161-6358-4692-892B-DAFF9DC22D80@microsoft.com... >I can't remember where this option is in the Control Panel. Guest Mango Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Re: How do you turn off automatic log-off in Windows XP Home SP2? Hey guys, I'm talking about when you leave the computer idle for a few minutes and it logs me off. I guess it's going into sleep mode, but I'm not sure. It definitely logs off though, because I have to re-enter my password to log back on. In other words, when I move the mouse and the screen comes back up, it's the log in screen instead of my desktop. Uncheck Prompt for password on resuming from standby. Good luck Nepatsfan
