Quick System Standby Question

Is there any way to set my computer to return from standby/hibernate/sleep

etc. only by keystrokes rather than mouse movement? Or better yet, only when

the power button is pressed?

I feel that it randomly boots up again (like when I'm sleeping) and I'm

trying to see if this is a mouse issue or something else.

Thanks!

Re: Quick System Standby Question

Go into BIOS and make sure 'Wake on LAN' is not active.

Not that I know of. Unplug the mouse and see if that will work for you.

Re: Quick System Standby Question

Where do I access the basic input/output in windows? I don't see it in

control panel...I could be rather blind, though

Re: Quick System Standby Question

The BIOS is not in the control panel. Watch your boot screen and push the

key that is indicated to enter setup (the BIOS).
