Guest Pat Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 I have saved photos e-mailed to me in Outlook Express in the past by right-clicking on the photo and selecting "Save Picture As." Today when I right-clicked on a photo I am getting this message: "The system cannot find the file specified" and then it tells me I need to reinstall the file: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshtml.hlp Help file." I do not know how to do this. Can someone please walk me through it so that I can save photos once again. Many thanks!

If you Forward this message to yourself, do the pix show up in the received message? If so, can you save the pix from that email? -- OE-specific newsgroup: http://news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 Pat wrote: > I have saved photos e-mailed to me in Outlook Express in the past by > right-clicking on the photo and selecting "Save Picture As." Guest Pat Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Re: Saving e-mailed photos Well, that was easy. Yes, sending the e-mail to myself enabled me to save the photos. Thank you! I bet you can explain why this happened? The photos were from a relative. Thanks again! Guest PA Bear [MS MVP] Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Re: Saving e-mailed photos Long story short: The pix embedded in the original message were from an online source, not your relative's machine. Usually seen in Forwarded (and multiply-Forwarded) messages, especially if one or more people in the "chain of Forwards" are AOL users. Pat wrote: > Well, that was easy.
