kgldsun Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 When we had our desktop we had the screen saver set to display random photos of which we have 1000's. It was a fabulous way of watching our collection of photos. Not unlike the photo frames that you can buy only bigger and displaying far far more. Now we have laptops, does anybody know of a way I could still display my collection of photos in this way? I am willing to buy a monitor but then not sure what I would use to display them. Is there anyway the monitor can work from a hard-drive where I have the photos all saved? Would love some ideas, and thank you in advance.:) Quote
RandyL Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi. I'm guessing your desktop had Windows 7 as it is a Windows 7 feature. XP does not have the option for desktop backgrounds. Your profile says you have XP. If you have Windows 7 this link will show you how. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/create-a-desktop-background-slide-show If you have Windows XP you can install the Winter Fun Pack which I believe you can use any folder or pictures to create a desktop background slideshow. 4ndy Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 If Windows 7 (home and above?) simply pin the media centre gadget to the side bar. You can then start a slide show (with or without music) whenever you like. RHS of screen rightclick gadgets etc... Quote
