Hi oldtrucker, Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

Oh dear, Norton still doing one of its old tricks and blocking something I am afraid. Similar happened to me many years ago with a pdf file blocked in the help section of a program. I didn't even know it was there till I removed Norton in favour of a different firewall and antivirus.

I don't have Norton so I can only guess, but it must be somewhere in the blocked list, but what you are looking for is a block against any part of Adobe Flash player I would think.

Nev.

Did you check the settings?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Have you paid for Norton 2012 - or is it a trial installation ?

If it is a trial - I would uninstall and put on MS Essentials or Avira ( both free )

None of us here use a paid for AV - there are some excellent free ones available.

1. Did you check to see if there was a setting that you could alter?

2. Is it ALL web-based video or a specific site ?

Start > Control Panel

1- In your Internet Explorer Options > Advanced ......... are your Java applets enabled?

2- Still in your IE Options, Security > Customize, ........are your Java scripts enabled?

Launch IE

3- In Tools > Manage Add-ons ....... check if Java / Shockwave / Flash are enabled.

You may need to click on the down arrow to view "Add-ons that run without requiring permission"
