Hi all,

What are people doing now that RDP 6 requires authentication before it

enters the TS? Before, using RDP 5, I had a lovely situation whereby my

users didn't even know they were going into a terminal server. They just say

the UAP and then logged in....

What are people doing to disable the local PC and launch straight to a TS

session pls?

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Launching RDP

Hi Mike,

This is network level authentication in Vista – it has many benefits like

not using resources (launching winlogon, etc) on the Terminal Server before

the user is actually authenticated (thus would help to avoid potential DoS

attacks)

If you would like more information about the cred prompt, please refer to

the following blog post:

You can also potentially enable Single Sign on if Terminal Server is WS08 –
