Guest Vera Noest [MVP] Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 RE: remote control "error 5 - access is denied" RE: remote control "error 5 - access is denied" Maybe there's a GPO in your domain which disables remote control? Computer Configuration - Administrative templates - Windows Components - Terminal Services "Sets rules for remote control of Terminal Services user sessions" (also under User Configuration; If both settings are configured, the Computer Configuration setting overrides.) Check with gpresult which GPOs are applied to your TS session. _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net ___ please respond in newsgroup, NOT by private email ___ =?Utf-8?B?RGVtb0RvZw==?= <DemoDog@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote on 22 jul 2008 in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services: > Oops ..I was unclear. Guest DemoDog Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 RE: remote control "error 5 - access is denied" RE: remote control "error 5 - access is denied" h'mmm ... Shamefacedly, I call a 2 stroke penalty on myself. After resetting the perms to default, I failed to logoff and logon. Having done so, I appear to be back in business. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. thnx 2 both of you for your prompt assistance.
