Method 2 on this page seems to address the issue: Redirecting problem is that with every windows update, the windows defender task scheduler settings seem to revert back to the default settings. Is there a way to save these settings, so that a user doesn't have to manually uncheck 'run with highest privileges" with every update? Continue reading... Quote
