KenB Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Hi and welcome to ExTS You get nothing at all - not even before Windows starts to load ? What about in Safe Mode ? If you can see anything at startup tap F8 about once per second and select Safe Mode from the list of options. Also try "Last Known Good Configuration" Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! MiniToolBoxNetwork TestWireless Test

4ndy Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Sometimes (before changing the PSU examining the caps for bulging etc) It's worth checking the bios/cmos battery. Some boards won't start if the battery is dead. Fit a new battery (computer off unplugged) make a cup of tea and then see if it will start. Now and then the bios can get corrupted -> remove the battery (system switched off) and short the battery terminals (or short with jumper) - refit the battery and then power up. Quote
KenB Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 carn,t even get th start up screen? Apart from the screen - does the system go through the Boot Process ( as far as you can tell ) ? Fans run Keyboard lights Hard Disk spinning etc. Do you get any Windows Chimes from the speaker ? Mag476 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 (edited) When you start up your computer do you hear any beeps? or does it just hang. If it makes it to the POST process and you hear any beeps, please refer to your motherboard user manual, there is usually a description for the POST ABC's in there. Here is a list if you do not have your mobo user manual. It could be that your GPU is not seated correctly, try removing and resitting your graphics card, this is usually the case for most no signal problems. 1 continuous long beep is usually the indicator for this problem.
