Anyone know of a way to force Windows XP Explorer to always open in folder

view (i.e. like File Manager used to) rather than the alternative with File

and Folders Tasks / Other Places etc?

Open a explorer window and set the view the way you want it, then goto

Tools>Folder options>View then click on apply to all folders.

RE: Forcing Folder View in Windows Explorer

Try this:

In Tools > Folder Options > File Types, find "Folder" (not "File Folder" ) -

push the Advanced button, select Action "explore", and press the "Set

Default"

button. OK
