Windows 11 Home in S Mode - Windows Security doesn't give me the option to run scans. Is this normal?

I recently bought a HP Stream Laptop, which has Windows 11 Home in S Mode installed on it. The Windows Security app in the Virus & threat protection tab doesn't show any option to manually run scans, like my other devices do (which are on Windows 10).When I google it I see nothing mentioned about it. Am I missing something? Is the Windows Security supposed to be like this on Windows 11 Home in S Mode?
