Guest yerk5 Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Can anyone tell me a command-line command that would actually invoke a legitimate BSOD, without causing any permanent damage? I'll take either variety of: 1) being able to get rid of it with a keystroke, or 2) locking the system up, requiring reboot. TIA

I picked up from this newsgroup some time ago: [HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters] "CrashOnCtrlScroll"=dword:00000001 Once you've added this value, restart the PC, then test it by holding down the right-hand Ctrl key and pressing the ScrollLock key twice.
