Guest Steve T Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 My brother cannot install the above on his HP slimline. All updates are current. Here is the timeline that he provided for me: Service Pack 3 Setup Error (the heading in the box) Access is Denied (after you click on this you get the message below) Service Pack 3 Installation Did Not Complete (after you click on this you get the message below) Select 'Ok" to undo the changes that have been made Then you restart the computer and you are back to SP2 and all seems to work fine. Any ideas from the group or should I just have him Google for help? Thanks, Steve T.

Guest Steve T Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Re: Service Pack 3 won't install Thank you. This will get him started. He has an Intel processor so the AMD aspect shouldn't apply. Steve T. Guest JS Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Re: Service Pack 3 won't install You're welcome, Here is some other info that might be useful: If I where to install SP3 I would choose to download the file and not use Automatic Updates. I would also create an"Image Backup" of my drive prior to installing SP3 just in case you do have problems.
