Guest +Bob+ Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I am trying to do a repair install. When I boot from the CD, I don't get a repair or recovery option, it does "Setup is inspecting" and then goes into a fresh build sequence (loads drivers, asks me to select a partition). The CD is SP2, and I know the install is SP3. I know that means I should do a slipstream. However, previous to that I wanted to see the repair option at least appear... and it doesn't. Thoughts?
Guest db.·.. > Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Re: No "Repair" option when booting? the sp2 cd cannot repair your sp3 system. at best the cd can downgrade your system to sp2. the same differences are also found between sp2 and sp1. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> "+Bob+" <uctraing@ultranet.com> wrote in message news:pjhf841ub08lo74nbteeo0a6v22ogvv1ie@4ax.com... >I am trying to do a repair >install.
