KenB Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hi rocky Start ....type in .....cmd....... ( don't hit ENTER yet ) Right click on the highlighted cmd top left of screen. Select "Run as Administrator" At the command prompt type .......sfc /scannow .......ENTER This will check your system files and possibly repair the problem ones ( if there is a problem ). Plastic Nev Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 If you can let us know the make and model of your Vista computer we can advise on how to do a system repair, but we do need to know as different manufacturers installed different backup and repair systems, If in fact one is installed. Do you have access to a Vista full disk if not? Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here. You could try manually replacing the files the scan process could not fix. First, review the scan log (follow this MSKB: SCANLOG). Then extract the files from your Vista OS disk, and replace.
