Hi rocky

Start ....type in .....cmd....... ( don't hit ENTER yet )

Right click on the highlighted cmd top left of screen.

Select "Run as Administrator"

At the command prompt type .......sfc /scannow .......ENTER

This will check your system files and possibly repair the problem ones ( if there is a problem ).

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

If you can let us know the make and model of your Vista computer we can advise on how to do a system repair, but we do need to know as different manufacturers installed different backup and repair systems, If in fact one is installed. Do you have access to a Vista full disk if not?

You could try manually replacing the files the scan process could not fix. First, review the scan log (follow this MSKB: SCANLOG). Then extract the files from your Vista OS disk, and replace.
