Guest Michel Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I received a Word archive through my hotmail account. I opened it without saving it to my hard disk. During the six hours that I was working on the document I did save it several times but never as 'save as'. When I finished I save the document again and closed it. Now I can't find it anymore. I opened the archive again from my hotmail to see where it was saving it to which is 'temporary files' but there is no register of the document that I have worked on. I have done a search on the whole hard disk for the name of the file that was sent to me but that didn't find anything either. Does anybody know if and how I can find the document again so I don't have to spend another six hours to do the same work all over again??? You would be of such great help. Thanks.
Guest Bob I Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Re: lost downloaded archive Perhaps open Word, select File, and then click the name in Recently opened files. Once you have it open, Save As.
