Guest GaCadi Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 When Windows XP starts up there are multiple folder windows that open after startup. They have to be manually closed everytime. Any ideas how to correct/fix this problem?

In Folder Options, click on the View tab. In the Advanced settings box, make sure 'Restore previous folder windows at logon' is unchecked. If that doesn't help, post back with the names of the folders that are opening and indicate if they're the same folders each time you start your computer. Good luck Nepatsfan

Actually found a fix within the "msconfig" utility - startup tab area.
