alex-1-alex Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Hello, I just purchased a new computer and i'm looking to upgrade it so it is capable of gaming and at the moment my graphics card cant handle much in terms of gaming. I've tried searching for cards but I have no idea what is compatible. I'm looking to spend up to £100 and I was wondering if graphic cards can improve general performance on a computer. My Specs are: Windows 7 64 bit Packard Bell imedia S3720 Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i Thanks for the help ;) Quote
KenB Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Hi and welcome to ExTS NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i Is this on-board video ( not a card ? ) What motherboard do you have? I have had a quick look and cannot find the system specs. I assume that it has at least one PCIe x16 slot. Any PCIe Video Card will fit. Take a look here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-performance-radeon-geforce,2997.html Keep in mind - If you are upgrading the video card you may need to upgrade the Power Supply Unit too. It depends on the choice of card and which PSU you have at the moment. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
