I have Media Player Classic - Home Cinema installed in my computer, on 32-bit Vista. Whenever I try to run it, it inmediately crashes, before any window appears. This happens both when i try to play any file and when I open the program directly.

I have tried uninstallig and reinstalling, and also I have installed a few other versions of the program dowloaded from sourceforge. All crash in the same way.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be thankful.

My Computer:

Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3 socket 775

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550

GeForce 9800GT 512MB

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE OEM

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help, do you see any messages when it crashes, and can you describe in a little more detail what happens, does the program freeze?

does it just close?

does the whole computer crash and go to a blue screen?

Most importantly do you see any messages? if so what are they.

Nev.

Without knowing more, here are two common issues:

1. The player is looking for a CD which is no longer inserted, or the drive letters have changed.

2. You may not have the correct video codec, the codec may be corrupted, or the video file is corrupted. You can check codec here: CODECS
