Virtualization - Test and Production on 1 PC

Can I set up a completely independent Test and Production environment on the

1 PC?

 

In other words 2 x W2008 environments on the 1 server.

Or is Virtualization not about 1 server but joing up multiple servers.

Yes, that is not a problem. You can run each environment on its own

virtual network. You can keep them completely separate or allow limited

interaction by running a software router/firewall between them.

Yes, you can do it this way, separating domains and ip ranges what you like.
