On my onoly Domain controller I am getting the error event in my application

event log every few minites....

The description of event is:

The Group Policy client-side extension Security failed to log RSOP

(Resultant Set of Policy) data. Please look for any errors reported earlier

by that extension.

If I look at my gptext.log file it says:

GPTEXT(e8.175c) 13:04:55:830 CPolicyComponentData::AddTemplates: Failed to

copy <C:\WINDOWS\inf\wuau.adm> to

<\\Computername\SysVol\hd-design.local\Policies\{0B47BD76-DCF0-420A-97D4-F75EE5BF2EEE}\Adm>

with 7.

GPTEXT(cc0.1060) 15:31:11:671 CPolicyComponentData::EnumerateScopePane: ADM

event has been signaled.

Where it says 'computername' this is my computer name (changed it to post

help!)

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Thanks

RE: Event ID 1091 Source Userenv

Hi,

Thanks for posting here.

Please follow to Meinolf's input to remove " The Group Policy client-side

extension Security failed to log RSOP" problem at first.

As for "CPolicyComponentData::AddTemplates: Failed to copy" problem:

When a new GPO is created, system will automatically put 5 default

administrative template files into GPO's ADM folder. These 5 .adm files

are: conf.adm, inetres.adm, system.adm, wmplayer.adm, wuau.adm. Typically,

we don't need to copy wuau.adm file from

C:\WINDOWS\inf\ directory to the directory of

\\Computername\SysVol\hd-design.local\Policies\{0B47BD76-DCF0-420A-97D4-F75E

E5BF2EEE}\Adm.

In order to further troubleshoot this issue, please perform the following

steps and tell me the result:

a) Open GPO editor window for a problematic server.

b) Right-click on "administrative templates", click "Add/Remove templates".

The

pop-up window will list all .adm templates that are currently loaded in

this GPO.

c) Please tell me if wuau.adm file lists there.

2.

a) Please locate the directory of

\\Computername\SysVol\hd-design.local\Policies\{0B47BD76-DCF0-420A-97D4-F75E

E5BF2EEE}\Adm

b) Is wuau.adm file included there?

3.

Is there any additional DC in your network? If so, what is the situation on

it? Please also check if there is any error message in the Event log?

Thanks.

Sincerely

Morgan Che

Hi,

For you reply, the wuau.adm file seams to be normal. Could you please

inform me if there is any other error message?
