Guest Chris Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I had previously posted this in the wrong (Windows Server 2008 TS) newsgroup..... I was able to report this to MS, but does anyone have a fix / workaround Hello, I am experiencing a strange problem with one of Win2k3 machines after installing kb951748(i believe that is the last one I installed) Now what happens is if i reboot the system, it appears the rdp listner does not start and i have to reboot a second time to get everything working again. Which is ok as long as i remember, but it makes remote administration a hassle, because i have to physicaly be there to log on locally and do the second reboot. Does anyone know how to resolve this or how to report this to microsoft for investigation, i dont want to get it with a $249 charge for reporting a problem that did not show up until after i installed the hotfix and i have several other ts machines that are critical and i cannot afford for them to be down because of this, that keep prompting me for the update. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Guest Chris Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Re: ts problem with kb951748 Yes, I uninstalled the patch via control panel and everything now is back to normal. Guest Chris Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Re: ts problem with kb951748 FIGURED IT OUT, HTH. IN REGISTRY, GOTO HKLM\CURRNETCONTROLSET\SERVICES\TCPIP\PARAMETERS GO TO THE REVERED PORTS ENTRY ON THE RIGHT AND ADD 3389, AND REBOOT, THAT WORKED FOR ME.
