WOW! Hadn't seen that one. Had to save a copy out of intellectual

fascination. Of course, my heirs have been instructed to degauss all of my

computer equipment and recycle it when I'm dead (except what I may take to

the pyre with me.) Fortunately, brother owns an aircraft shop and he has a

degausser that they use to magnetically wipe entire airplanes(!) He only

just mentioned that to me, but I get to check it out in a week or two when I

go down to replace a workstation.

Re: explorer.exe

I don't know enough to tell you when or whether it does this.

I believe XP keeps updated backups in the \dllcache subdirectory, and also

that XP is a bit restrictive on allowing access to the DLLs for being

updated.

The one thing I *do* know it that I can't get a decent LOG file out of it

for what it updates (if for example, you run "sfc /scannow"). The Event

Viewer is near useless for this, unlike in Win98SE, where you can actually

get a real LOG file, showing exactly what was replaced. And even a prompt,

to allow it to be updated - or not.

Let's not forget the real truth.

"Download tests for pcbutts1.com:

4 green downloads

In our tests, we found downloads on this site were free of adware, spyware,

and other potentially unwanted programs.

Linked to green site

When we visited this site, we found that most of its links are to sites

which are safe or have only minor safety/annoyance issues"

Now who's right. The credible people at McAfee or the trolls who posted the

lies.

And for others reading here, note that there are nine reviews of

pcbutts1.com on http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/pcbutts1.com.

Eight of the reviews tell you exactly what the site is and that

PCBUTTS is not to be trusted. One review is positive. Guess who wrote

the positive review? PCBUTTS himself.

PCbutts is the person who continually claims to be an MVP, yet refuses

to provide a shred of evidence that he is. I wonder why? He is clearly

a fake.

PCButts is also the person who recently posted to Malke, one of the

most respected regulars here, "Why don't you make me shut up by

proving those lies you tell. That goes out to everybody, post a link

to porno on my website. Post proof that my software is stolen. Show me

the duplicates. Do that or STFU."

Anyone think that his reply to Malke is ludicrous in view of his

consistent refusal to prove his MVP status in the face of numerous

challenges by multiple MVPs here? I sure do.

The fact is SiteAdvisor ratings are for maliciousness. It is not rating a site based upon

plagiarism, pornographic imagery nor other type of content.

Butts is suffering from a brain injury and he has lost the concept of right or wrong and

he refuses psychological counseling. Something he needs.

The following URL no longer exists....

hxxp://www.pcbutts1.com/downloads/mpv.htm

It was male on male felatio and its posting was dedicated to MS MVPs. Now he wants to

claim HE is a Microsoft MVP. It blows my mind how in so many posts, since Aug. '05, he

has berated MVPs yet he now wants to be one so badly he fakes the credentials in public.
