Guest Sid Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Hi everybody, I've some computers in my LAN (100 Mbit). I need to connect two of them with something faster 'cause they need to transfer big files (W2k8 and Windows Vista Business). As firewire direct connection is not supported by Vista, I don't know about any solution to this... Any suggestion? Please consider that both PCs need to be still available on the LAN, simulteously. Thx in advance! Sid.
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Re: Connecting two PCs in the LAN with a faster connection Hello Sid, Find a switch which is capable of Gigabit Ethernet and find some NIC's for your machines if they are not still able to do it. But network speed is not all, if your disks are slow with reading and writing, there will be your bottleneck.
