Guest Old School Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 I have reinstalled windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 on my Inspiron 6000. I did not save anything, so I am starting fresh. I am unable to access the internet. What is wrong? I can't play videos or cd's because it is telling me that I have no sound device. I go and check, and it tells me it is working. I just need to get the internet up and going so I can download any drivers required. I have a second computer which is my main desktop, and I am running a wireless device - Wireless-G 2.5 Broadband Router. Your most sencere help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -- PEACE!

After you installed your operating system, you needed to go to Dell's website for your Inspiron 6000 and download/install all the drivers and laptop-specific software. Get these files from your other computer and transfer to your Inspiron. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! FAQ - http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ
