computeridiot Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I have put a Asus wireless PCI-G31 in my comp and used the driver that came with it. After I loaded the driver it works perfectly getting me my wireless connectivity!. The only thing is every time I turn the comp off, I have to reload from the disk the driver again as the stupid thing disappears. any Idea anyone what might be happening? Quote
Plastic Nev Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi, which way round did you do this? Sometimes some hardware requires the driver to be installed first before the hardware is installed. Try removing the PCI-G3 card from the computer, shut it down first, then reboot after you have removed it, then install the driver from the disk. Shut down again, then re-insert the PCI card. Reboot it and let us know what happens then. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here. KenB Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi Just to be on the safe side - uninstall the driver from Device Manager first - then re-install using Nev's suggestion.
