Guest Wowbagger Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 The 2003 server R2 machine has been sitting at the "applying personal settings" message for over an hour. Services are being provided so the machine isn't completely dead, but I can't do anything at the terminal. As far as I can tell there are two known problems that cause this: 1. A problem with the APC PowerChute software (doesn't apply in this case) from a couple years back 2. DNS configuration that points to another nameserver. This also is not the case as the machine is configured to point to itself and only itself for DNS services, and the forward zones are configured correctly. Are there any other possible solutions to this very annoying problem?
