Guest PA Bear [MS MVP] Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Re: auto updates stopping Judging from similar posts here in the past month or so, the behavior may be due to a Vundo-ZLOB-SDBot infection, all of which is protected by a rootkit. Guest Chris Geerlings Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Re: auto updates stopping Check your pc for virus/malware/spyware. Some virus can remove .dll or cause the auto update to stop functioning also if your virus definition is out of date it can cause this Remove those first then goto start - run - services.msc check if the automatic updates is running if not check if the bits service is running if not download the latest auto update client and follow the guide to register the ..dll -- Chris
