INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF "PROTECTED MEMORY ACCESS BLOCKED" NOTIFICATIONS

I have recently noticed a significant increase in the notifications mentioned above. Just poking around, I found that the protected folder's list had some shared folders that most applications use. I am not sure why these folders were suddenly added to this list.Is it okay to remove those folders (even without removing them, the applications are working fine)? I don't want to break anything or put my security at risk.
