windows 7 start up

Hi all,

 

I have a problem with windows 7, every thing boots up fine I enter password then windows loads but I when i click on a program or browser it just freezes and about 5 mins later all apps go and I get windows has encountered a problem (or something similar). I have run malware and eset anti virus and nothing there.

 

Any help would be very welcome.

Hi and welcome to ExTS

 

Try running a System File Check.

 

Start ....type in ......cmd.....DO NOT hit ENTER.

In the top left you will see cmd > right click on this > Run as Administrator

 

At the command prompt ( black screen ) type .......sfc /scannow ( space after sfc ) then hit ENTER

 

You may be asked for the Win7 installation disk - if you don't have this let it run as far as it can.

Ran as said resource protection did not find any integrity violations.

Try Last Known Good Configuration

 

Switch on or re-boot and constantly tap F8 ( about once per second )

At the Advanced Startup Options select Last Known Good Configuration.

You might want to think about giving your computer a good full scan with Malwarebytes Free in safe mode and normal mode
