New to the forum and need some help upgrading the hp pavillion dv6-6b08sa laptop i hope to buy, my acer just died and i'm looking for a new laptop for casual gaming and college work, the laptop i have decided on boasts 6gb ram and decent graphics, but the amd a6 processor just won't do it justice, i have decided on a Intel Core i5 2.66 GHz mobile processor, my question is: is there anything else i would need for it to work, and please don't recommend others as i have had a look all over and can't find any laptop i would prefer, thanks in advance ;)

Hi and welcome to ExTS

You do realise that if you take the laptop apart and replace the processor you will void any warranty that comes with the machine ?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
