Guest Pegasus \(MVP\) Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Re: Access Denied I have some vague recollection about Windows XP Home not being able to access the administrative shares of a Windows XP Professional workstation. You can get around the problem by creating suitable shares, e.g. like so: net share Windows=c:\Windows (on the machine that hosts the share) net use Q: \\OtherPC\Windows (on the remote machine) "help.me" <helpme@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8BE7740D-A174-4AF2-9A0A-7892FB4858C3@microsoft.com... > Even I accessing the \computername\c$\windows. Guest Pegasus \(MVP\) Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Re: Access Denied Did you check out my suggestion about this being a WinXP Home issue? I cannot do it myself right now - I don't have ready access to such a machine.
