netbookboy Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Hello KenB, I have the same problem. I recently downloaded and installed 'Windows 7 Professional' to replace 'Windows 7 starter'. Ever since this problem has occured, but before the installation the netbook connected fine to the same router. Therefore I think I may have lost a crucial driver in the process. I have tried re-installing the os, and also a power cycle of my netbook and the router but neither worked. All I can see in the Network adapters section of the device manager is 'Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)' & 'Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)'. I dont know wether these are the correct network adapters or not (This is on my netbook, im not sure if that makes a difference or not). Any help is appreciated, Thanks Quote
Goku Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Hello Netbookboy. Are you sure that the netbook's WLAN is on? There is usually a switch provided or a function key to do that so please check if that is enabled or not. Also, have you what make and model is the netbook? -- Goku Quote
