rich50 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Help needed. I have a Canon MG5250 which will not connect to my access point on a Netgear DG834GT router supplied by Sky. Using printer set up on the LCD screen the access point is recognised and connected. I am using Windows 7 (32 bit) on a Sony Vaio and disabled Norton 360 while I atempted the install. When I run setup from the CD onto the laptop the printer is not detected. I have tried all Canon ideas but with no success. But --- if I use my old laptop running XP --- it connects and works Ok. Help needed otherwise its going back if I can convince the shop its not working for Windows 7 as it says on the box.:confused: Quote
RandyL Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Hi rich. Here is a video on how to install a printer in Windows 7. Check out the downloads page for your printer. http://software.canon-europe.com/ http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/Consumer_Products/products/Fax__Multifunctionals/InkJet/PIXMA_MG_series/PIXMA_MG5250.aspx?type=download&page=1 Look for this one.
