Over the past few days I have been getting the following error message. "The

instruction at 0X 05120198 referenced memory at 0X1c4c23415. The memory could

not be written" (The numerics after the 0X's change each time. The above #'s

were the most recent ones). Can anyone tell me what this is and how it can be

fixed...Thanks kindly

Since the problem is with Internet Explorer, start your troubleshooting by:

1. Making sure the computer is completely virus/malware-free:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

2. Running IE in no add-ons mode to determine if a third-party add-on is the

culprit.

Run IE7 without add-ons - Start > Run>iexplore.exe -extoff [enter] OR

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)

MS webpage explaining add-ons: http://tinyurl.com/2tro8f

Re: Windows XP error

Unfortunately I cannot copy the actual error message (there is no copy &

paste provision)but I have give the actual wording below, What does change

each time I get the message is the 0X numbers sometime they are 0X05120198

and other times the show 0X00000000 but the wording is always the same. at

the top if the box the says IEXPLORE.EXE APPLICATION ERROR. I have done both

a virus and spyware/malware and they are both ok. I have the latest Java and

I just tried to access a game in pogo and it said "Java Runtime Environment

cannot be loaded". It is after I exit that site that I get the message.

Thanks for your help so far but do you have any other thoughts.
