russellhyldon Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Hi everyone, Im having a total nightmare with my laptop, Ive had it for about a year and for some reason whenever I tried to download files/applications it would come up "curupt file", after a very long time trying to look for answers, i decided to save all my files and I used system restore and wiped everything off my laptop and restored the laptop to "factory settings". After doing this I tried to download firefox and then "invalid digital signature" poped up underneath the download, so i ran the file anyway and "curupt file" appeared. I tried downloading google chrome and the same thing happend, its happens to everything now that i try and download. I could really do with some help on this as no one seems what I can do, also I was toled to try and download mulwarebytes, but everytime i try and download it the same things happens. i hope someone can help me. RandyL Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Control Panel>Internet Options>Advanced Scroll down to the Security section. There are four settings that relate to certificates and signatures. Other then that it would have to be a third party program like an antivirus program. Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. KenB Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Further to Randy's post..... When you take a look at the security settings: Check the one that starts "Enable software to run / install ....... signature invalid" Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
