Yesterday i turned on was prompted to do a scan(not sure if thats relevant) then when i went on internet as usualy there is an inch strip across the screen that my curser wont work on, half in the tool bar, half under the tool bar including the up arrow onthe side. Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help Rebecca,

If it works OK with no problems on Internet explorer, then yes the computer looks to be OK, It is obviously a fault with Firefox.

The simplest way round to try first is uninstall Firefox, then go to the Mozilla site and download and install the latest version of Firefox, see if that corrects the problem.
