Ajg Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Hi everyone i recently factory restored my laptop now when im downloading my windows updates im getting error code 80070017 when its trying to download service pack 1. Is there anyway around this so my updates download and install ive also noticed my internet is slower than it used to be, ive read around and gather it could be due to this. thanks ash Quote

There is a stand-alone d/load here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=30 Or you could try Start > All Programs > Windows Update If you still get the error can you post the complete error message please ?
