Guest Dylan Dukes Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Ok, heres the deal, I have a Dell Dimension E520, it came with Vista I'm trying to install XP, I used GParted and deleted all the Windows Vista partitions (so I'm somewhat screwd) I have a Windows XP home edition install disk and when ever I pop it in and get it booted up, as soon as I get to "Starting Windows" install screen, I get the generic blue screen, and I really gotta fix this and fast! HELP ME!!!

Guest Dylan Dukes Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 RE: When I start to install Windows XP, I get the blue screen OK, I found the problem out for myself, I had to enable the SATA HDD in the BIOS as a ATA HDD. (I feel stupid)
