I am in need to install another win xp pro SP3 on the same Disk partitioned

in C: and D: and formated in NTFS.

I ask:

Is it possible or there will be conflict?

For the boot what is the best?

I think to rewrite the command line in boot.ini, like it:

[boot loader]

timeout=30

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)Windows=

"Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition"

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)Windows="Microsoft Windows XP

Professional Edition" /fastdetect

This will work? Or then I tink also in use the magic boot from partition magic

Could a valued consumer explain to me?

It will work, but in the boot.ini boot line for the second XP, the partition

#

should be partition(2). I would also make the two XP titles different so

you can easily identify them in the boot menu, such as XP #1 & XP #2.

You don't need to rewrite or edit the boot.ini file, the Windows XP

setup program will do that for you. Just boot the computer with the

Windows XP cd and do the installation, at the disk/partition selection

screen make sure that you select the proper partition to install the

second installation.
