Blue Screen Of Death

Hi guys,

 

Im haveing a problem with my PC. Randomly im getting the blue screen of death but it has become more frequent. I also get the screen going off but the PC is unresponsive and has to be switched off.

 

My friend looked at it for me and said it had some graphic driver issues but I have formatted the computer and im still getting the problem.

 

It started to happen when windows autoupdate updated somthing.

 

Im running Windows 7 Ultimate (legal copy)

 

I7 930 processor

6GB Ram (Not sure brand)

Asus P6X58D-E Motherboard

Asus GTX470 video card

 

Any ideas would be great.

Hi and welcome to ExTS

 

Next time you get the Blue Screen make a note of the STOP ERROR and post it here - it pay help identify your problem.

 

Try taking the RAM out and putting just 1 module in. ( 2GB ? )

Run the system for a time to test.

 

If it crashes - change the RAM for a different module.

 

Test out all of the RAM in turn.
