Guest harleyguy Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I am running WindowsXP sp3. About a week ago I started getting this error In a 16 bit msdos system window. "The NTVDM CPU has encounterred a illegal instruction cs.0559:ffdeop:ffif 0906 Choose: Close or ignore to close the application" I installed Registry Smart and ran a scan and got everything fixed. What can I do to fix this error?
Guest Daddy Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Re: 16 bit msdos system I stay away from registry cleaners. I found this with a search of Microsoft's knowledgebase: "NTVDM CPU Has Encountered an Illegal Instruction" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245184 Daddy "harleyguy" <harleyguy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0F5EC8EF-71B7-43C2-8BB6-12A4F62E5DC3@microsoft.com... >I am running WindowsXP sp3. > > About a week ago I started getting this error In a 16 bit msdos system window. > "The NTVDM CPU has encounterred a illegal instruction cs.0559:ffdeop:ffif 0906 > Choose: Close or ignore to close the application" > > I installed Registry Smart and ran a scan and got everything fixed. > > What can I do to fix this error? >
