Double login required. 2008 terminal server and XP SP2 or SP3clien

When an XP SP2 or SP3 client logs into a 2008 terminal server with TSFarm,

users are required to enter their login password twice. On the first login,

Users are required to enter both User Name and Password. Once that is done,

the next login screen only requests the password.

Normally, the MSRDPCLNT passes auth to the server but for some reason, this

server is not reciving or accepting the auth.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Robert

You could go into the TS configuration Manager for the server and

configure the RDP connection to not ask for passwords (actually you

un-check the option to always ask for password). Be sure that this is

what you want, since this allows the client to automatically log on if

it is configured that way. It could be a security exposure..
