adam_8 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 my computer is running on xp, when she boots up i see the usual screens then it says a disc needs checking so it goes about its buisness and then afterwards the screen goes blank and the moniter has no longer go a green power light but an orange one. Jelly Bean Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Hello Adam and welcome.... Restart the computer and let chkdsk run.... Please post any errors for me please that chkdsk shows... This may not be a good sign,it may mean your hard drive is failing.... Also after chkdsk has run shut down the computer and then restart and repeatedly tap the F8 key,if a list appears could you choose safe mode.... Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
