Guest Michel416 Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 After every user logon my laptop with Windows XP SP3 displays the About Windows popup box (same popup box as if you would select Help/About Windows in Windows Explorer). I am not sure how I caused this to be happening. Could anyone please tell me how to get rid of this popup. It is quite annoying. Thanks...Michel.

Open the Keyboard applet in the Control Panel and click the Key Settings tab at the top. Under 'Description' check to see if any Key Name is set to About Windows. If you see that setting click on it, click the Edit key, then put a tick where it states " Disable the use of this key " and then click the Next button.
