Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me? I am having problems getting internet access on my wife's notepad even though I have successfully connected to my WIFI network.

This is happening on a Lenovo S10-3 ideapad that has Windows 7 starter installed. I have an acer laptop and have connected to the same WIFI network which has no problem connecting to the internet. So far I have searched through google and tried a couple of things like system restores and flushing the IP address using the cmd prompt window but still I'm getting the same problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to ExTS

I assume that you could once connect with this laptop?

Please confirm.

========

There should be an icon in the bottom right corner that looks like a monitor:

Right click on this > there should be an option to "Repair".

try this.

Try "Connect to a Network"

You should be able to see your network.

Does it say you are "Connected"?

If not - try connecting ( you will need the network key ).

========

Start ....type in ......devmgmt.msc ......ENTER

Click the + next to "Network Adapters"

Are there any yellow exclamation marks ?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Hi, Thanks for the quick response, but I've managed to sort this out now. It turns out my McAfee anti-virus had run out. I've uninstalled the software replaced this with AVG Free anti-virus and it works a treat now. Thanks :)
