Make sure monitor is on your desk with the base side down. 2. If you find yourself walking on the ceiling of your home, check weather reports for recent earthquakes or tornadoes. Sorry, I just couldn't resist a little sarcasm. : ) Actually in the days of CRT monitors I had done this deliberately by installing a double pole switch in the CRT driver circuit so that the customer across the counter could read the screen with the press of a button. The monitor was mounted vertically under a glass topped counter. Sorry I can not imagine what could be causing this problem. Duke

The ability to rotate the screen image is a feature of your video card, to help it work with monitors that rotate to portrait orientation. You accidentally pressed Ctrl-Alt, and some arrow key. Rotate it back using those keys. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup
Guest JS Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Re: desktop Some graphics cards come with utilities or an option to rotate your display. Most likely to be found in the Display/Advanced option. You may also be able to turn off Display rotation so the problem does not happen again. Click on Start/Control Panel/Display/Setting Tab, Advanced button or it could be an Icon in the control panel specifically for the Video Card you have. The following may also work: CTRL+ALT+Up arrow on some but not all video cards. Try using control+arrowkey combinations to turn the display over, or check the video driver help file under "rotate display". HTH -pk
