Guest miracle Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 When upload big files via FTP (Filezilla), I have been disconnected from remote server few times "Error: disconnected from server", then reconnected again (and one time do this manually). Can the FTP protocol provide full resume of downloads, without without lossing any byte of data, to keep full file integrity?

Without being specific since it was a long time ago when I used FTP to download files, it is my impression that some, but not all, FTP clients have the property to resume the download from the point of the disconnect. It may be worthwhile to do a little research, incl. Google, to check on the better FTP clients that will verify downloads by both checksum and file-checking.
