where does all the memory go

When I start my computer it has about 300 megs in use. But after a while

Task Manager says it has 800 to 900 megs in use, which is more that I have so

it uses virtual memory and slows down. But if I look at the processes tab it

only adds up to about 120 megs. I do have show processes from all users

selected. What could be using the rest of the memory? How can I chase it

down?

Thanks,

Chas

Download Process Explorer 11.2. It does a much greater detailed analysis

than Task Manager.
