View Available Wireless Networks...?

Howdy,

 

If I click to "View Available Wireless Networks" the list

populates with one correct network, but also includes

several that are not, in fact, available.

 

Those that are not available includes networks that I had

logged on to at an earlier time, and at other locations.

 

Why would they be listed as "available", and might there be

a way to eliminate them from the list?

Do they appear after you click on "Refresh"

Of course I should have mentioned that...

 

Yes, they do appear, and that happens without regard to my

location.

See if this helps:

 

In the left pane of the Choose a Wireless Network screen, click "Change

the order of preferred networks". You should get a screen that looks

like this:

Delete all of the entries in the list of Preferred networks except the

ones that are for networks to which you regularly connect. Don't worry

if you delete one that you might later use. Each time you click

"Connect" from the "Choose a Wireless Network" screen, that network gets

added to the top of the list of preferred networks.
